Maybe AI isn't for you.

That's okay. Come find out before you decide.

Maybe AI Isn’t for You event artwork

Your choice, your judgment

Learn enough to choose.

AI may not be your thing and you may be tired of people bringing it up. This event is about showing you exactly what AI really is, what all the hype is about, and giving you enough first hand information.

Try everyday examples, ask questions, and decide for yourself whether any of it belongs in your life. No adoption is required.

What we'll explore

Clear examples. Real questions. No pressure.

01

What AI is good at

See where current tools can help with everyday tasks, where they regularly fall short, and why a confident answer is not always a reliable one.

02

Risks and tradeoffs

Talk plainly about privacy, accuracy, bias, energy, and the places where human judgment should remain in charge.

03

Your own decision

Try hands-on examples if you want, ask the questions that matter to you, and decide what—if anything—belongs in your life.

Come as you are

Curiosity is enough.

Bring a ready device, if you like

  • A fully charged laptop is helpful for the hands-on examples; a tablet or phone is welcome too.
  • Charging will not be available during class.
  • You are also welcome to observe, ask questions, and learn without trying AI yourself.

No account or experience required

  • You do not need an AI account, technical knowledge, or a plan to use AI after the class.
  • Bring a question, a concern, or just your own perspective.

Good to know

Questions, welcome.

Is this for people who are skeptical of AI?

Yes. Skepticism is welcome. The goal is not to persuade you to adopt AI; it is to help you understand enough to make your own choice.

Do I need an AI account?

No. You can participate without an account, and you are welcome to observe rather than use a tool yourself.

How much does it cost?

The workshop is free. Registration is required because space is limited to 25 participants. An unlimited waitlist is available if the class fills.

Who may attend?

The class is intended for adults. Participants who are 16 or 17 may attend with a legal guardian who has their own registered seat.
