AI can be useful without being mysterious.
This workshop is for adults who are curious about AI but may feel uncertain, overwhelmed, skeptical, or simply new to it. You do not need technical experience, a perfect question, or a plan for becoming an “AI person.”
We'll make room to try a useful task, ask questions, and talk honestly about what these tools can and cannot do.

Try a practical prompt and see how context, follow-up questions, and your own judgment make the result more useful.
How to work responsibly
Learn basic privacy and fact-checking habits, including what not to enter and why important information still needs verification.

Bring a ready device—and a real question.
Bring a ready device
- A fully charged laptop is recommended; a phone or tablet is completely welcome.
- Charging will not be available during class, so please arrive with enough battery for the full workshop.
- Bring a real task, question, or small project you would like to explore.
Set up an AI account
- Create an AI account before class and make sure you can access the email address associated with it.
- A paid Claude or ChatGPT account is preferred, not required. Google Gemini and other platforms are welcome.
- Some exercises or features may look a little different across platforms.

Is this really for beginners?
Yes. No technical experience is expected; this is designed to be a calmer, more practical starting point.
How much does it cost?
The workshop is free. Registration is not required, but it is encouraged because the class is limited to 25 participants.
Who may attend?
The class is intended for adults. Participants who are 16 or 17 may attend only with their legal guardian.
Do I need a paid AI subscription?
No. Paid Claude or ChatGPT accounts are preferred because they best match the demonstrations, but they are not required.
