How I Actually Use AI
AI filled most of our camping grocery cart and helped me replace a lost RV-washing tip
Getting the RV ready for a desert trip meant packing much of our house and trying to fit grocery shopping into a day that was already full. Then a pressure-washer tip flew off the roof while I was washing it. Eric helped with both problems, with one memorable gap in the groceries.

AI planned our RV meals and filled most of my Walmart cart
I showed Eric what we had on the shelves, planned grill-friendly meals with him, and he checked the Rifle Walmart for what we needed. When the Walmart connection in ChatGPT turned out to be browse-only, I moved the list to a browser work session so he could put most items in my logged-in cart. I reviewed it, added a few things myself, switched to our newly available home delivery, and placed the order. The bags arrived at our house within about three hours, and I carried them straight into the RV. At camp, Jason and I discovered there was no pork tenderloin for the dinner we'd planned.
What I got out of it: Most of our camping groceries delivered to our house and loaded straight into the RV without a shopping trip, along with a reminder to check the final cart against the meal plan.
Why AI was useful: Eric helped turn our shelves and meal ideas into a store-checked list and filled most of the cart in my browser. He flagged the tenderloin he'd left out, but I still missed it in the final cart review.

The spray died while I was washing the RV roof. I found the nozzle tip had shot off, climbed down, and searched around the house and street without finding it. I asked Eric whether the tips were fairly universal and what our small local Ace Hardware might carry. His joke calmed me down, and he explained the common fitting, which types to look for, and why the replacement still had to match the washer. Ace had a pack, and I finished washing before the trip.
What I got out of it: A replacement tip and a finished RV wash with little disruption to the trip preparations.
Why AI was useful: Eric helped me identify a common replacement part even though we couldn't rely on live inventory for our local store.
