What I Did With AI This Week

A 7-pound pork butt and two ChatGPT accounts

This week was less about big projects and more about a couple of little questions that would normally send me hunting around for answers.

I stopped second-guessing a 7-pound pork butt

I had a 7.21-pound pork butt on the smoker and wanted to know whether it was cooking the way it should.

I gave AI the weight, smoker temperature, current internal temperature, and how long it had been cooking.

What I got out of it: Less hovering over the smoker wondering whether dinner was going sideways.

Why AI was useful: It could work from the exact cook I had going instead of giving me a generic time chart.

I figured out how to keep two ChatGPT accounts on my phone

I wanted access to both my work and personal ChatGPT accounts without constantly logging in and out.

AI helped me look at options like Android app cloning and Secure Folder.

What I got out of it: A cleaner way to keep work and personal use separate on one phone.

Why AI was useful: I could explain the setup I wanted and work through the options that actually fit my phone instead of searching one feature at a time.

I worried less about dinner.

I found a cleaner way to separate work and personal accounts.

Two small problems handled without turning either one into a research project.
