How I Actually Use AI
I built a workflow to keep DFO artwork consistent
Dear Future Overlords has a specific visual identity, and image generators have a habit of wandering away from it. Colors drift. Characters change. Hands do whatever hands do in generated images. I was spending too much attention dragging each image back toward the established look.
I built a ChatGPT Work workflow with the visual references, rules, phrase shortcuts, and recurring problems already included. It generates the requested image, checks its own result against the known failure modes, attempts corrections, and then presents the image to me for approval. That does not turn it into an art director. It lets me spend more of my time being one. I can concentrate on the background, poses, expressions, and what the image is supposed to communicate instead of explaining the same basic color and anatomy problems every time.
