How I Actually Use AI
I found what the Hands On AI Lab site explained only to me
People kept telling me the Hands On AI Lab site was lovely and well done. They also told me it did not always make them understand what I was offering or feel why they should care. That was difficult feedback because the idea made sense in my head.
I used AI to examine the site’s language from perspectives outside my own and point out where I was communicating what I understood instead of explaining what a visitor needed to understand. I rewrote the site to make the offer clearer and explain the reason for it in ways that made sense to a broader set of people. I have used the same kind of perspective check in other writing and even when thinking about how I speak. It does not tell me what I mean. It helps me notice when I am the only person bringing all the missing context.
